In The Dog House is a family run business in the stunning village of East Linton surrounded by miles and miles of beautiful country walks and gorgeous beaches just a stones throw away.
We have had dogs all our lives and we know how stressful it can be finding just the right place to leave your furry friends when you go away. That is why we provide a true home from home boarding service.
We don’t have kennels, We do appreciate they are great for some dogs, but many dogs need a bit more personal attention and love than most kennels can provide due to the sheer volume of dogs.

Our Service
Dog boarding
home comforts
We do not offer outdoor kennel type accommodation. All our guests stay in our house, with our family and are treated like one of our own.
We pride ourselves on providing a 5 star service for our guests and making them as comfortable as you would expect us to.
A tailored service
nothing is too much trouble
We ask that you provide us with a detailed plan of your dogs daily routine and care so that the transition from their home to ours is as smooth and stress free for them as possible.
We like to think it is as comprehensive as the instruction you would leave with a child minder. These are your fur babies after all.
Guaranteed love
you might not get them back!!
We love dogs. It’s that simple and it’s why we do what we do. We can’t guarantee that we will happily hand over your babies at the end of their stay but we can guarantee that we will love them whilst they are here.

Who lives in the dog house?
Well it’s a family affair - why would you want to let anyone else in on the action when you can have all the fun and cuddles to yourselves?!
I’m Jenni and with the help of my husband Gordon and our daughter Georgia we own and manage In The Dog House.
Our permanent furry residents are Marley and Daisy (see above - the wet nose and loving eyes :-x) and Sophie our cat who has her own wing in the house away from the dogs.
We are all mad about dogs. When I was a little I was that child who couldn’t walk past a dog, cat, horse or anything with four legs without going over for a stroke. Georgia is just the same and I’m sure it won’t be long before she starts bringing strays home like I did!!

Feel the love

Why choose our service?
Peace of mind & lots of love are guaranteed
You want to know that your dog is going to be cared for as if they were at home with you.
You want them to be comfortable, comforted and loved.
You want them to be safe.
That’s what we all want as parents of dogs.
I look upon the service we provide a lot like those days when I was looking for a reliable childminder and why wouldn’t you? Our four legged friends are our fur babies and they deserve to be looked after with the same level of care.
My background is in nursing and law and, I think, that’s where my high standards and level head come from. I’m also a certified canine first responder so you can be sure your dog is in safe hands.
So just like no childminder worth their salt would leave a nervous child standing in the corner alone we have the same attitude to our guests. If they need extra cuddles, attention, a few treats and a spot on the sofa with us to help them settle in then that’s what they will get.
Our guests are like part of our family and they love staying with us. They often don’t want to leave and their owners love the regular updates whilst they are away. It just gives them total peace of mind.
"Our two labs settled very quickly with Jenni. Truly a loving caring environment for your dogs. A home from home and absolutely no concerns whilst you are away.
I couldn't recommend them highly enough"

"Can't say how highly I recommend In the dog house. My dog Ben loved being with this lovely family and their dogs. They made me feel so comfortable about leaving him with them. He will be back with them whenever I decide on another break. Thank so much."
Richard Koch

"Excellent! Everything we were looking for from a dog boarding service. A real home from home experience with a friendly, caring family. Our dog, Amber, can be timid, but on our visit to meet Jenni it was clear that she felt very much at home, and we felt very happy leaving her in Jenni' s capable care. So lucky to have found 'In The Dog House’"
